Chord Advisory is proud to have advised Bethesda Health Care on its acquisition of The Mount Private Hospital from Healthscope.
The Mount Private Hospital, now known as Bethesda Mount Hospital, is a leading private hospital in Western Australia, specialising in cardiology and cardiac surgery, alongside orthopaedics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery and general surgery. The hospital is supported by the State’s largest private critical care unit, reinforcing its position as a key provider of high-acuity services.
Bethesda Health Care has officially taken over operations of the hospital, marking the completion of the transition. Facilitated in part by the Western Australian Government, the process has helped secure a positive and sustainable future for the hospital, its staff and its patients.
Importantly, the transaction has enabled continued collaboration with WA Health, which will utilise the hospital to help reduce pressure on the public system. This outcome is expected to deliver meaningful benefits for patients and the broader community.
The Chord Advisory team included Managing Director David Hugo, Senior Consultant Sarah Meyerkort and Senior Associates Ebony Garlick and Lynsey O’Neil.
Managing Director David Hugo said it was a pleasure to work alongside both Bethesda and Healthscope on the transaction.
“This transaction reflects a shared commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare and strengthening outcomes across Western Australia. We are proud to have supported this important milestone.”
