• Ensuring compliance with privacy laws, including the federal Privacy Act 1988 and the new WA state Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024;
• Data sharing and licensing agreements;
• Policies and procedures for dealing with data collected, held, stored and processed by a business or government entity
• Reviewing data, security and privacy practices, including compliance with privacy and data security laws and policies, such as the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 and the Western Australian Government Cyber Security Policy
• Advice on data as an asset, including reviewing licensing and securing ownership ahead of a business sale or other transactions.
